Involvement
Team Twisted Tree Farm supports Samantha Waslewski with a worthwhile fund raising mission. Thanks for your help! Over 1.4 million new
cases of cancer will be diagnosed in 2006 and 555,000 people will die.
In your lifetime, each woman has a 1 in 3 chance and each man a 1 in 2
chance of being diagnosed with some form of cancer. It is very hard to
watch your loved ones deal with this devastating disease. However, every year research gives us earlier detection, more
effective treatments and better survival rates. This gives families touched by cancer new hope and strength.
This research is only possible through generous donations from groups
like the American Cancer Society. Over the summer Sammy Waslewski with Team Twisted Tree Farm's help achieved fantastic success with a worth while fund raising event. Overall, $8,000 was raised. The Halle Family The Bergdale Family The Bogaard Family The Kirk Family The Sewell Family (Maryland) and the Sewell Family (Arizona) The Rahman Family The Bierworth Family The Wirt Family (Sammy's grandparents) Ellie Myers (Sammy's great-grandmother) The Waslewski Family Paul Casey and Jocelyn Hefner Ms. Pat Carlton Lisa Esponda-Bookout (California-saw it on website and ordered bracelets for all the girls at her barn-they lost a friend and fellow rider to leukemia last spring). Multiple friends and families at shows who bought bracelets. It was an incredible learning experience for
my daughter Sam. I think it also sheds light on the quality people with whom we ride, train and compete. Thank you
for your help and support. Samantha and I hope you will join us again next
year in this fundraising event.
The effects of cancer has had a large part in our lives and the lives of
many we know and love. But there IS
HOPE and that keeps us STRONG! Jump For A Cure!
